Advanced Systems Group Adds Industry Veteran Mark Vinten to Audio Team

Vinten Brings Award-Winning Audio Background, Broadcast Technology Expertise and Customer-First Philosophy to ASG

Emeryville, Calif., September 1, 2026 — Advanced Systems Group, LLC (ASG), a technology and services provider for media creatives and content owners, today announced Mark Vinten has joined the company as Senior Account Executive on its expanding Audio and Post Production team. In his new role, Vinten will help grow ASG’s business by fortifying relationships with existing clients and developing new opportunities throughout Southern California. Additionally, Vinten will report directly to Hamid “Gadget” Hopkins, Director of Audio and Post, ASG. 

Notably, Vinten has enjoyed an esteemed and varied career path that spans professional recording, broadcast technology, manufacturing, and systems integration. As a result, His range of experience gives him a unique perspective on media workflows and enables him to help clients see beyond individual products to how each part of a facility works together.

“Mark understands our business because he’s lived it from multiple perspectives,” explained Hopkins. “He doesn’t lead with products. He begins with conversations about workflows and solving problems. That’s exactly how all of ASG approaches client engagement, and we’re thrilled to have someone with Mark’s talent on our team.”

Additionally, Vinten said joining ASG was the result of a long-standing relationship with ASG President Dave Van Hoy and a desire to broaden the scope of solutions he could offer clients: “I’ve always admired what Dave has done with the growth and reputation of ASG. I’m excited to become more familiar with our capabilities in immersive audio, managed services, storage, and cloud.”

Prior to joining ASG, Vinten spent ten years with Evertz, where he advanced from service technician to Director of West Coast Sales and Service. Earlier in his career, he spent eight years in the recording industry as music producer Lil Jon’s engineer, contributing to projects with Usher that earned four Grammy nominations and two Grammy Awards.

In addition, those experiences continue to shape how he works with clients today. “I’ve worked with small and large customers in the media space,” Vinten said. “I think of facilities as more than a new box here and there or compartmentalized systems. I look at the facility workflows as a whole and identify efficiencies and new technology that can maximize value.”

Meanwhile, Vinten cites the company’s broad range of in-house expertise as another area of distinction for ASG. “What excites me most is the depth of technical knowledge that the people at ASG have,” he said. “ASG has subject matter experts covering traditional on-prem solutions, hybrid and cloud-based solutions, and the ability to provide creative and technical staffing to support customers as needed.”
